The City Librarian is a key executive-level management position responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and administration of the City’s Library Department. Reporting under the general direction of the Deputy City Manager, the City Librarian plans, organizes, and oversees all library operations, including strategic planning, reference services, collection development and maintenance, circulation, technical services, youth and adult programming, literacy initiatives, and community engagement. The City of Calabasas is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who combines deep professional knowledge of library science with strong executive management capabilities to serve as the City Librarian.
