- The next Finance Director should possess broad professional and technical knowledge of finance and governmental accounting.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or accounting is required and a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in local government financial administration or accounting with at least two years in management is highly desired.
- While not required, credentials as a Certified Government Finance Officer or Certified Public Accountant are a plus.
